Xen Nhà

Xen Nhà is a documentary maker and artist with a background in creating intimate dialogues and storytelling across sound, film and texts. Their work explores the confluence between personal and collective narratives and the cultural politics and responsibility of listening. They are currently living in Melbourne on unceded Wurunderji and Boon Wurrung Country.

Xen has worked as a freelancer in editorial, producer, and educator roles for podcasts, films, arts and community projects such as the Emerging Writers Festival, The Moth Live (NYC), Dramageddon x Melbourne Writers Festival, 3CR Community Radio, Empathy Museum x Arts Centre Melbourne, Writers Victoria, SIGNAL and the Women’s Center for Creative Work (LA).

In 2019-2020, Xen was a Collaborative Studio Fellow at UnionDocs (NYC) and was the Editor for the short documentary, flutters through skin. In 2021 they were the Editor for disorganising, a project between Bus Projects, West Space and Liquid Architecture.
